The Bernese Mountain Dog is a breed I'd loved from afar for many years. Although I knew no one who owned a Berner, I spent a lot of time reading about the breed and loved everything I read. I hoped that one day, when the timing was right, we would bring a little Berner home to join our family. 

In 2004 I attended a George Alston Handling Seminar, with owner/handlers of many different breeds. It was there that I met Annette Jordan and one of her beautiful BMD's. Annette was the breeder I had been looking for; dedicated to doing everything right toward her dogs and puppies, through testing and a stong, abiding love of the breed. She visited our home with her beautiful, champion bitch CH Aare River Chamomile Tea, "Cami" and the rest was history, as they say. Two years later, on January 24, 2006, Cami blessed us with our Liza (Sable J's Broadway Liza V JSB). We could not have been happier with our new little girl.

Liza has grown up into a beautiful girl and a joy to live with. She is a small BMD at about 75 lbs, which is perfect for us. She is a clown, sweet, loving and so gentle. Life would be so much less without her in it.
